A United Nations delegation led by environmental scientist Prof. Laura Somerfeld visits the Uyuni salt flats of Bolivian. Their mission is to help draw attention to an environmental tragedy taking place. However, as soon as the delegation lands its members are kidnapped by a militia controlled by businessman Matt Riley.
As if this wasn’t bad enough, the threat of a massive, planet-ending volcanic eruption looms over the desolate and deadly (yet hauntingly beautiful) white landscape. Stranded together in this blinding white landscape, Laura and Matt must come to terms with one another and themselves in order to avoid a disaster!
