Indigenous Detective Jay Swan arrives in the frontier town of “Goldstone” on a light duties missing person enquiry for a young Chinese woman. Driving into town, Swan is pulled over and arrested for drink driving by local straight-arrow cop Josh.
After sleeping off his hangover at the local motel, Swan dives into his investigation of the disappearing of the woman. Soon he uncovers a web of lies, crime and corruption that implicates the local Mayor, the mining boss and the Aboriginal Land Council.
Determined to uncover the truth, Jay must pull his life together and bury his personal differences with Josh, so they can bring justice to Goldstone together.
