Miranda Fall is an installation artist who follows and photographs strangers for her art. One day, a woman is attacked outside of Miranda’s apartment and she starts suspecting that someone out there is actually watching her. As she encroaches on her suspected intruder, people around her begin to think she is taking things too far with her personal investigation.
Soon events are spiraling out of control and boundaries bleed between the real and imaginary, crime and art and the watcher and watched.
