At the end of the 19th century, young Scotsman Jay goes to America in search of the woman he loves. She and her father are on the run after committing a crime, and now have a large bounty on their heads. Jay is helped by the tougher bounty hunter Silas, who secretly wants the money. However, he is not the only one, as the rumor has spread and several other bounty hunters are chasing the same reward.
